Ingredients (for 2 persons)
- 30 g caviar (of your choice)
- 1 beef or veal steak
- 1 tsp butter or a little olive oil
- Salt and black pepper
- A few drops of lemon juice
- Optional: chives or parsley
Preparation
1
1. Bring the steak for a short while to room temperature, then pat it dry.
2. Season with a little salt and pepper.
3. Fry in a very hot pan with butter or olive oil to your preferred degree of doneness.
4. Leave the steak to rest briefly, then cut into neat slices.
5. Arrange on a plate and, right at the very end, spoon the caviar onto the warm – but no longer hot – steak.
6. Finish with a few drops of lemon juice and a sprinkling of parsley or chives.
A little luxury for everyday life
You don’t need much caviar at all. Just 1–2 teaspoons are enough to turn a simple steak into a special dish.
Tip
Steak can be an everyday meal. Add a small spoonful of caviar and it becomes a special occasion.
